After eleven years in Fire and General Insurance in New Zealand, Richard entered the Financial Services Industry in 1991 when he joined Philip J Milton & Co Plc in Devon, in Southwest England. The company was a bespoke fund management company managing portfolios, pension funds, as well as ISAs and PEPs. In the following nine years he was appointed a Company Director, and was individually regulated by the Financial Intermediaries and Managers and Brokers Regulatory Association (FIMBRA). This became the PIA and was later superseded by the current Financial Services Authority. He also qualified as a member of the Institute of Financial Planners.

Campbell Hastie
Mortgage Broker
Hi, I’m Campbell Hastie. In my past lives I’ve been a: Financial Adviser, Angler, Axeman, Cook, Husband, Karaoke King, Philatelist, University Graduate and Writer.
I’ve been in the financial services business my entire working life and have worked my way up the corporate ladder within two of the country’s life insurance heavyweights – Sovereign and ING Life. So I definitely know a thing or two about insurance, and in 2005 I turned my industry talent and passion to mortgage broking. Over that time I’ve helped a huge number of people achieve their property related goals – from purchasing a family home or Bach, to investment in residential and commercial property.
I’m particularly passionate about lending a hand to first homebuyers who are excited by the prospect of home ownership, but feel unsure of each step they need to take. In property the numbers are big and emotion runs high so with my cool head and practical approach it pays to have me alongside.
I know from personal experience the frustration people can feel when buying a home and I aim to walk you through the process so your purchase stands a good chance of being the pleasure it should be.
