It's interesting times at the moment as far as net migration and its effects on the housing market, particularly in Auckland.
Net migration for the year ending May 2016 was over 68,000, but the really incredible thing is that May was the 22nd month in a row that the annual net migration had set a new record. About a quarter of those were NZ citizens returning from an extended stay overseas. However the telling statistic is that over half of the migrants list Auckland as where they intend to settle.
Does anybody have a shoehorn?
